Location: Long Valley, NJ
Square Footage: 16,650 sf
Status: Completed 2012
Challenge:
With a growing congregation and booming youth ministry, Valley View Chapel needed a new facility that would house all congregants at one time and provide an environment for the youth ministry to more effectively reach out to the community. After extensive planning and discussion, the final drawings for the Family Life Center laid out a plan for a new chapel/multipurpose athletic room, youth room, and additional classrooms; all needed within a tight budget.
Solution:
Fenton’s long history of building churches allowed Valley View Chapel to take advantage of the Design-Build approach which saved costs and time. Fenton constructed the new two-story, 16,650 sf Family Life Center with a gymnasium/multipurpose room, youth room, kitchen, and classrooms. The project included the sitework, foundations, building shell, and interior finishes.
Testimony:
“At the very beginning of the project, Fenton’s expertise in the design/build approach to construction greatly reduced the overall coast of the project and made it possible for the church to even consider building the facility. Once underway, you identified many cost saving opportunities for the church throughout the construction process and also offered some significant material upgrades of finishes that produced a spectacularly beautiful facility–all within budget…Personally, I have worked with many contractors during my 24 years in construction of major industrial facilities, and Fenton is among the best. Your attention to detail, ability to resolve problems positively to the satisfaction of all parties concerned (particularly the customer), and unwavering commitment to your word makes Fenton stand out as a high quality construction company. It was evident throughout the project that you care very much about the safety of people and how valuable and special each person is…Valley View Chapel is extremely pleased with the new facility and appreciates how beautiful it looks, how well it operates, and how functional it is. Thank you, Mike and all your staff, for making this vision of the church a reality.”
